Upcoming Events:

    • Apr. 7 - College info meeting, 6:30 pm
    • Apr. 8 - Non-standard Schedule for Senior Presentations
    • Apr. 12 - Accountability & PTSA Meetings, 6:00 & 6:30 pm. See website calendar for Zoom link.
    • Apr. 13-16 - Standardized testing. Only students being tested come in to the building. All others learn remotely. See below for details.
    • Apr. 15 - Music Boosters Meeting, 6:30 pm

News and Reminders:

  • Students/parents/guardians of 9th grade through 11th grade, we are having an informational college night with Mrs. Wheeler on April 7th at 6:30pm.   • Our first Senior Portfolio Showcase happens Thursday, April 8. Seniors can find their presentation time in an email they received from Mr. Beckwith. We will have a different Bell Schedule on Thursday: 

    • 8:05-8:50: 2nd
      8:55-9:40: 4th
      9:45-10:30: 6th
      10:30-11:00: LUNCH
      11:00-3:00: Presentation Sessions

    • Lunch will be offered to students “grab and go” with bus departures at 10:40 a.m.

  • Extra in-person support is available on Friday mornings for students who need extra help or a place to focus. Students MUST sign up in advance. Click here for more details.

  • If you wish for your student to learn remotely next year (2021-2022) you must make that selection by April 7 (the deadline has been extended) by logging in to Enroll Jeffco.  Instructions can be found here. If you choose this option your student is committed to remote learning for the entire school year but can re-enroll at Arvada in-person for the 2022-23 school year if desired.   • Students are encouraged to check out the Colorado Youth Virtual Career Fair which will take place from April 19-22. Lots of information is available at https://youthcareerfair.org/

  • Our Community Resource Center is distributing food boxes on Friday mornings at 9am.
  • Clothes To Kids of Denver can help provide clothing for students. They provide every shopper with 5 outfits, 1 coat, 1 pair of shoes, 1 bra (optional) and 5 pairs each of new underwear and new socks, all for FREE.

11th Grade SAT 10th Grade PSAT 9th Grade PSAT Updated: No 11th grade CMAS testing.
All Hybrid students attend in-person.  Only 11th grade students who are testing attend in-person. All others have a remote, asynchronous day. Only 10th grade students who are testing attend in-person. All others have a remote, asynchronous day. Only 9th grade students who are testing attend in-person. All others have a remote, asynchronous day. Regular, Remote learning Friday.
  • This video from Mr. Jensen has lots of info about testing week (updated 4/5/21).
  • CHANGE: Buses will NOT run an extra route to take riders home on testing days. They will take students home after standard testing at 1:45.
  • Grab-and-go lunch will be available as students leave and breakfast will be available when they arrive.
  • All tests are pencil-and-paper based and must be given in person. Remote learners may come to school to take the tests if they wish, but guardians must contact Jeremy Jensen to arrange this in advance.

Health and Safety:

  • COVID-19 : Click here for the Student Self reporting form. Parents/guardians and students, help the District track incidents of COVID-19 during all-remote learning periods by using this form. You may also contact your school nurse. Note, if you are a student under 18 years of age, the form requires the approval of a parent/guardian.
  • Please contact Arvada’s district Registered Nurse Stacey Kowalski at Stacey.Kowalski@jeffco.k12.co.us for any health related issues or diagnoses including: COVID positive students, diabetes, seizures, asthma, allergies, and any other health updates for your student.

From the Athletics Department:

  • On April 5th student athletes can start registering for Season D sports on the Arvada Athletics website. You will need to have a sports physical. Season D will start on April 26th and the sports we will be offering are Girls Soccer, Girls Tennis, Girls Golf, Boys and Girls Track and Baseball. We are currently doing workouts for these sports. If you are interested or have questions please contact Mrs. Pivic or Mr. Quaratino.
